REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must purchase a license from the City ($125.00)
  • Must be secondary to use of home as a residence
  • Must be operated by the person(s) living there
  • May have one non-resident employee
  • Must Not be operated from a garage or out building
  • No signs or other outside markers/evidence of the business
  • Must Not make any structural changes to the building
  • Must Not create separate entrances to the business & home
  • Must be conducted with in the home
  • All storage Must be in the home
  • No direct sales from display racks or shelves
  • Must take 10% or less of a home's floor space; 15% for multi-unit buildings.
  • No more than 2 clients in the home at a time
  • No more than 10 clients in the home per day
  • Only 1 "bulk delivery" per day; during daytime hours;
  • No tractor trailer deliveries
  • No offensive noise, vibration or pollutants
  • Must conform to landlord or condo / homeowners association rules
 Penalties for violations may result in fines. Fines can range from $200-500 per offense.

  • barber shop / beauty parlors
  • construction / landscaping
  • dancing schools
  • firearms / ammunition sales
  • funeral chapel / home
  • machine shop / welding
  • manufacturing or assembly of goods not sold by the home business at retail
  • massage therapy
  • medical / dental clinic
  • motor vehicle repair
  • restaurants / catering
  • video arcade & other public amusements
  • warehousing
